SACRED GARDEN
ARTIST STATEMENT
Sacred Garden is an ode to my heritage, culture, and the western world. Sacred Garden was based off the legend of the White Snake and the innate cycle of transformation and rebirth. Just like the lotus, a flower that grows in muddy waters, the White snake’s love grows and nurtures in an unfortunate environment.

This project was my first official project as a Stylist for INK Magazine at Virginia Commonwealth University. Not only did it push me to be resourceful and think on my feet, it helped me understand what I want to create. Through fashion, I want to be able to tell a story, an emotion, bring authenticity and personality back into clothing.
